Message from the Head of School

Parev Dznoghner,

I hope you and your children are having a fantastic summer break. While our students enjoy their time off, the Hovnanian School team is concluding an amazing season at Camp Hovnanian, which saw record attendance this summer.  As our campers leave us to enjoy the rest of their holiday, I wanted to share with you some of the school’s preparations for the 2023-2024 school year.   

Academics: Our dedicated faculty, led by Dgn. Hera, is meticulously preparing our fall schedule, which, in addition to our stellar core curriculum, will include innovative, new, cross curricular programs like “Art in French”, a focus on data analysis and research, and a revamped “Project Time” that will create space for innovative teaching methodologies, real-life applications, and interdisciplinary approaches.  

Facilities: Mr. Chris and our facilities team are hard at work reimagining our early childhood wing to accommodate increased demand and allow our faculty to best deliver an outstanding early childhood curriculum. The Hovnanian School Child Care Center will expand into the old Art Room with a custom designed space dedicated to our toddlers. The Art Room will be relocated upstairs to the Board Room, which provides more natural light and space to allow our students to incorporate different artistic mediums and explore new ways of creative expression. 

Administrative: The office is committed to providing an efficient, seamless, and smooth administrative experience for all stakeholders. In furtherance of this goal, we are implementing changes that will streamline paperwork and allow for quality-of-life additions such as online payments. You will be informed of these and other changes through clear and proactive communication from the office throughout the year.

I am honored and excited to work with this great team as Head of School. As I have done throughout my career in education, I will remain focused on enhancing the educational experience for our students while bringing effective communication, community involvement, and a culture of excellence to Hovnanian School.
